I spent four years at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, getting my undergraduate degree. I was young and idealistic and my time there served as a springboard to everything that followed when I moved to New York City. The people I met there, professors and fellow students alike, had a deep impact on my life. I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of attending school in that beautiful little college town.
The Ohio University Alumni Gateway at the intersection of Court and Union Streets in Athens, Ohio. The Alumni Gateway was a gift of the Class of 1915 to mark the 100th anniversary of the first graduating class of Ohio University, the first graduation in the old Northwest Territory. The quotations on the gate were taken from a Latin inscription found over the main portal of the University of Padua, Italy.
