I caught this beautiful sunset tonight while driving north. I stopped for the night in La Junta, CO, elevation 4,078 feet – quite a change from Santa Fe’s 7,000 feet. I will be driving to Chadron, Nebraska tomorrow morning to visit and photograph the Mari Sandoz High Plains Center for my NebraskaLands Magazine article. If the weather holds (and no blizzards occur) I will drive across Route 20 in northern Nebraska to visit my friends in Valentine and photograph the Niobrara in the snow. I’m looking forward to seeing the Sandhills covered with snow.
